A great way to look after your own health, and perhaps put a little money in your pocket

At '245 days…' I like to take a look at the different ways that you can get help with your startup. There are professional services and others that can help you with some of the things you need when setting up your new business. A lot of my blog has been geared towards generating an income that can run alongside your new business to help in the early days and when times are lean. Any extra income helps. It's as simple as that. In the fledgling days of a startup business, you need money coming into the business and you need it fast.

Today I will look at a product that is great for you to use for your own health, and can help you with the income side of things as well.

There are some ways that I have looked into for generating an income that helps the startup to become successful. Today I'll take a look at an idea that runs with your business and can convert your traffic and customers into extra income for you. It is all about offering something that is high quality, meets your customer’s needs and dies nothing to undermine your reputation.

If you have a startup and you are looking for an extra income stream, for another product or looking to diversify then look no further than o2 drops.

It is all about taking the healing power of oxygen and harnessing it for better wellbeing. We simply don't get enough oxygen at a cellular level. There are different factors that stop this from happening-

Pollution levels
Toxins in the air

Getting oxygen into your system at source can have all kinds of health and wellbeing benefits. This as a unique product that can help you in your personal health and that you can offer to your customers. It can fit in alongside what you are already offering or sit alone in addition to your startup company. Either way it can help your customers and improve your sales.

The income that you generate from thisoxygenated water can enhance what you offer through o2 drops and you can get to the higher selling levels, with upgrades such as marketing tools and the call centre.

This really is a great opportunity to add to your startup plans or to look after the health of you and your family. There is so much scope in the health sector that you will always find customers for this product. People will always want help with-

  •          The common cold
  •          Energy
  •          Immunity
  •          Concentration levels
  •          Headaches
  •          Weight loss
  •          Skin conditions

O2 drops can help you with these conditions and much more. It is all about making sure that you know the benefits of the product and are able to speak confidently to your customers about it.

I have looked at several different avenues in my blog to generate an income to sustain my business in the early days. I have looked at writing, blogging and mystery shopping. I recommend that you investigate the massive potential that o2 drops can bring. There aren't many opportunities out there as good as this.

Photographs, reviews, fiverr and some serious editing are improving my Kindle book

-47

I've been looking to increase the income from my first Kindle ebook by improving it in several ways.

How to sell your house: What estate agents don't tell you by Steven Thompson

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00I5HOJAM/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_etaRvb3QK3CFG

These changes are coming before I finish my second ebook on the related topic of and then a combined book of The income I receive from this has been modest but steady, and I want to extend this to help when I eventually open my estate agency and have to rely on other income for a short while.

I've looked at the book and the changes I think were needed and the details are below-

Addition of photographs
The book itself flowed quite well in the way it was written but the newer version, to be released soon, will have some stock photos added to the text to break up the words and provide a link between the chapters. They are simple stock images that provide visual clues to the text and make it more easily readable.

Top tips boxes
I found that throughout the text I was highlighting really good ideas of how to make the most out of the process of selling your home. The ideas tended to get lost in the text as there were over 5,000 words. I came across the idea of adding boxes marked with the heading "TOP TIP." This enables the reader to spot the things to make the big changes. In short, it really highlights the really good ideas.

Reviews
I've started the process of emsing people a copy if the book so that they can give me a review. The Amazon reviews help potential buyers to make their decision in terms of whether to buy something. I've started to contact the top reviewers on Amazon with a copy of the book with a request to read and review. Hopefully this will add to the interest in the book and some reviews (hopefully positive) will tempt people to buy or borrow.

A new cover
I decided that the original cover that I designed myself on Microsoft Publisher didn't really stand up to the competition. It looked homemade. During one of my serendipity trips on the internet I found a website called fiverr.com. (See blog - http://245daystogo.blogspot.com/2015/06/stumbling-across-ideas-and-answers-when.html .) The website brings together designers and people who need quick basic designs - all for the princely sum of $5.

My designer came up with the following design first-

Obviously with a website that crosses large parts of the world, there can be small issues with communication. With fiverr, the designers have rules they post in the site when you instruct them to produce work for you. My designer allows one alteration to the design and if you're still not happy after that they refund your money. I asked for a revision to change the notes at the bottom of the picture to UK sterling pound notes as the book is mainly aimed at the UK market.

And this is the final design. The new design is uploaded to the book's profile on the Amazon page. The new design shows another change, albeit sort-term. There are many books called 'How To Sell Your House' on Amazon already, so I've decided initially to make this Kindle book titled 'How To Sell Your Home' to differentiate. The next step will be, however, to order another Kindle book cover and add the title the second time, so it's listed under both 'house' and 'home' on the Amazon website. I hope that this will enable me to reach both search terms.

It's been a while, and will be a while again

13

Well, it's been a while since I last blogged on here and it will probably be a while until I blog again.

What's happened since I last blogged?

Not a great deal, actually.

Nothing has progressed with the business since I last blogged. I've not finished my new book, I've only done a handful of mystery shops and I've made no real progress in the way of setting up the business.

The 245 days concept is out if the window, and I'm probably looking at opening the business a full year after I initially intended. The extra year will be spent in setting up areas that will bring me in an income to sustain my family and my living standards during the initial months of the start up when there is little or no income.

The upcoming hiatus will be brought about because I'm gong into hospital on Thursday for an operation. It's an op on my eye and is the latest (and hopefully the last) relating to a longstanding detached retina issue. It will mean that I'll be off work for about a fortnight and won't be able to use a computer or smartphone screen for about a week.

With the eye fixed, I'll be back stronger and I can concentrate on setting up the potential income earners that will give me more confidence in letting go of permanent employment and taking the plunge into self-employed!

Are blogs worth anything other than getting my thoughts down?

168

I've been blogging now for close to a year, and the impending anniversary of the start of my blogging activity has got me thinking-

Are blogs worth anything other than getting my thoughts down?

How do you measure worth?

Let's start at the base level, the definition that I'm sure many would apply - do they generate any money. Now this blog is too young on Blogger to enrol in their advertising programme and I usually make this blog on the move, so I don't have access to html links from Amazon or others. In that sense, it earns nothing. And my older blogs that have Adsense and Amazon ads on warm me very little as well. So in this sense of worth then, not presently, but enough content will eventually bring a trickle of money every month and will filter people to my website when it's up and running.

These blogs are a conduit for my ideas and the finalised blog entry isn't always the same set of ideas as what I set out to write. In this sense, it's my learning style to think about what I write as I write and this gets my creative juices flowing. The ideas will formulate how I operate my business and how I will be different to other estate agents on the market - especially int local market. So in this sense of worth, yes, but I need to be able to reference and re-read my blogs to filter the concrete ideas I will use going forward.

My blogs get interest on social media and are often "shared" by other users, but the interaction level rarely goes any higher than that. I find this frustrating, as I'd like to know people actually read the words and digest the meaning of my blogs. At this level, I think that my blogs are read and some parts of them are used, but I'd like a degree of interaction or feedback that confirms this. So in this sense of worth, yes and no.

Mondays always lead me to reflection. On with the rest of the week.
